It’s shaping up to be a forgettable weekend for Manchester United. Eager to rebound from a 2-0 loss against Ange Postecoglu’s Tottenham Hotspurs, the Red Devils have landed themselves an uphill battle.

In just under four minutes, the situation went from bad to worse. Taiwo Awoniyi struck first, capitalizing on a rapid break, receiving a well-timed pass from Morgan Gibbs-White, and slotting it past Andre Onana into the bottom left corner.

Barely two minutes later, Willy Boly added insult to injury with a header off a free kick by Gibbs-White, finding the same corner of the net.

A mere 3 minutes and 47 seconds was all it took for United’s defense to crumble, leaving them with a steep climb to get back in the game.
