Jude Bellingham, the promising talent from England, has burst onto the scene at Real Madrid with an astonishing start to his season, mirroring the impressive debut of Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo back in 2009.

Despite not being a typical striker, Bellingham, who recently joined from Borussia Dortmund, has quickly become the focal point of Real Madrid’s attacking prowess in the 2023-24 La Liga season. The team, under the guidance of coach Carlo Ancelotti, currently stands at the top of the table with a perfect record of wins.

Bellingham’s contributions have been notable – he found the net in the 2-0 victory against Athletic at San Mames, bagged a brace to orchestrate a comeback and secure a 3-1 triumph over Almeria at the Power Horse Stadium, and clinched a hard-fought 1-0 win against Celta at Balaidos last Friday.

Interestingly, his early accomplishments draw parallels with the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo, who also ignited his Real Madrid career with four goals in his first three La Liga matches in 2009. Ronaldo’s exploits, under the management of Manuel Pellegrini, set the foundation for a successful season.

In 2009, Ronaldo notched a penalty in a 3-2 win against Deportivo, followed by another goal in a 3-0 victory against Espanyol in Barcelona. He then added a brace in a commanding 5-0 performance against Xerez at the Santiago Bernabeu.

With Bellingham’s four goals already this season, he is experiencing one of his most prolific campaigns. For context, his highest-scoring Bundesliga season saw him net eight times, achieving one and three league goals in the two preceding seasons.
